Take note of all the settings (which rotor, rotor setting, ring setting and plugboard). You can also hit the settings button to randomize all settings, retrieve current settings in the form of text string as well as paste a settings text string into the same box and set all the settings. After all setings are done, you just start typing or click on the letter on the lampboard. If you make a mistake you hit hit the back space key. You can also paste in text to the textbox and click on decode to crypt or decrypt the mesage. For more information check out this video.
